Jam Session

Tonight was fun, we sat around and had a jam session at the Bach. Pad (Duece, Trev, Chris' place). I had a swell time listening to others play and sing, then got to do some of my own as well. I also did the fantastic fall off of the couch, awh Good times. But seriously, have you ever noticed how guitar playing has become such a trend. I am almost annoyed at when you break out the guitar some has got to one up you, or the song is motified to the point of see how good I am. I am not saying this was the case tonight, but I sometimes wish I learned how to play the Kazoo instead of guitar. I remember when chicks used to dig the guitar and the fact you could play, now I am sure they are quite annoyed that everyone and their brother's cousin knows how to play (especially "Sweet Home Alabama"). I mean come on I have been playing for almost 12 years now and I think I suck at guitar, I really do wish I was better, but I find myself trying to show off. What's up with That? I am curious if there is a new skill I can learn that can be "cool" that I know if I did know it. I would like some suggestions, seriously, I am gonna do something different and then try to make it a trend and see what happens.
